cabin fever!!

Ugh, I really want to get out of the house sometimes, but I feel like I can't. Petra really hates her car seat, which means she hates her stroller. She can't sit up yet, so her stroller is just a frame that the car seat fits into. I wish I had taken her more places in the first few weeks to get used to it, but with the weather and cold & flu season, it really wasn't a good idea. And maybe she would still hate it?

If I put her in her car seat to go someplace, she'll be fine when she's in the car, but as soon as we get out and go into the store, she screams! which is awful if we're in Target or a restaurant or anyplace.

To go on walks, I put her in her moby wrap because we usually can't even get to the end of the block in the car seat-stroller. :( She just falls asleep in the Moby. I like wearing her, and I'm find with it for now, but I would like the option of using our stroller! Plus it is going to get kinda hot sooner or later.

i didnt leave the house the first 4 weeks either, so I don't think that was it. If it makes you feel any better, Jake won't sleep on any flat surface. He only sleeps in his bouncy chair. No crib, no bassinet. I have no idea how to break of him of this habit. I try every week. maybe you can try to loosen the straps in the car seat once you get to your destination? I totally feel your pain, I have cabin fever too!

oh my! a girl has her preferences, and that's for that :) hope that with the time passing, she'll get used to sitting up more in that car seat. We'll see how it goes with our little monkey, what preferences he'll show to have :)

she went out yesterday for a few hours and actually fell asleep at the store in the stroller/car seat! I couldn't believe it!! Maybe just needs some getting used to...

Yeah, Petra sleeps in her swing. Trying to slowly break her of that one!

would she like a carrier? like the Bjorn? or is she still too little for that?

hey T.Bird! Yes, the moby wrap is a good carrier for her. She LOVES it. I just find it a little cumbersome to take her in and out of the carseat with it. But that's what I'll do just to get out of the house!
